These are the lyrics to Darren Hayes’ new single “On the verge of something wonderful” im really digging the highlighted part (well the whole song really!)
A serpent, a rabbit,
A walk in the forest.
A tentative looking sun.
A feeling, a moment,
A bursting of bubbles,
A panic to overcome.A samurai, an angel,
An etiquette table,
An AC that does not work.
A road trip, a car wreck,
A paperback novel,
A lover that ain’t been hurt. When you let me go, now I’m on my way,
And the world below, is cold and grey.
On the verge of, on the verge of something wonderful.
A resurgence, on the edge of something wonderful. For it, against it,
Said he’d never meant it, but Harry still dropped the bomb,
A trip to the dentist, the Hollywood black list,
A moment that time forgot. When you let me go, now I’m on my way,
When the world below is cold and grey.
On the verge of, on the verge of, something wonderful.
At the edge of, on the verge of, something wonderful. You can dance in the devil’s shoes, you like walking heels,
There’s a decent living to be made in the selling out of ideals,
You can lose your way, in the big city,
Get distracted and lost, and feel pretty, yeah..Ohh, Ohh…
I want you, I need you;
I don’t wanna please you, or belong to anyone.
But life is for leading, for not people pleasing,
A race that has never been won. When you let me go when I’m on my way,
When the world below is cold and grey…On the verge of, on the verge of something wonderful,
At the edge of, on the verge of something wonderful,
On the verge of, on the verge of, something wonderful, Ohh,
On the verge of, on the verge of, something wonderful, Ohhh,
A resurgence, on the edge of something wonderful, Ohh…
Well Darren Hayes’ (picture) newest cd came out yesterday. I ordered it from amazon, HOPING it would be here on the day of its release…nope. maybe by friday if I am lucky. geez. But this is his 3rd cd since his split from Savage Garden, whom I also adore. Im really excited to hear this 2 cd set. His stuff has gotten more funky and techno the further away he gets from his Savage Garden roots-but man can he sing a ballad! *swoons* hehe.
faces. Then I went into my classroom and I was at home. I opened up my cabinets and saw my penguins that my kids have gotten me and I smiled. I replaced the picture on my desk of me and the coward with a picture of me and my friend Cathy in Nice (see right) . Thats a much nicer picture to look at than of the coward. lol.
I want to know. Why can’t my beagle do that? She has a costume and everything!
